In the context of their activities, some GIGA members need to work with large amounts of scientific data (e.g. genomic, transcriptomic, proteomic and metabolomic data, imaging data, and results of the analysis of these data). The mass storage is a professional infrastructure of very large capacity (1.5 petabytes) provided by the GIGA for the storage of these data. This infrastructure is coupled with 2 tape libraries for backups and archiving.
