The literal meaning of cluster is a pool of fruit or flower. In informatics, it is a term use to describe a pool of computer/server. In this case, this pool of computer/cluster works as a unique entity and can be viewed and managed as a single system. Cluster are used to perform substantial calculus/operations that would not be possible on a usual computer. As a cluster is composed of several computer, it can run under windows, Linux, etc. In our case, the cluster run with a Linux license.
